Married couple dead after Facebook confession

Mrs Grinhaff, 42, wrote on her Facebook profile just two weeks before she died that she was “currently splitting” from her electrical engineer husband.

She added: “Been married for 16 years but together for 26!!!! God that makes me sound old.”

“I didn’t really know her husband,” said Julie Kendall, who became friends with Mrs Grinhaff at a local mothers and toddlers group four years ago. “But I do think it’s true that they were splitting up.”

Rumours have also spread through the tight-knit community that the couple’s daughters knocked on a neighbour’s door on Friday with a note that said something bad had happened to their parents.

But Mrs Kendall, 38, said no one knew where the children were. “They’ve been taken away,” she told The Times. “It would have been the four-year-old’s birthday on Saturday.”

Describing her friend as “genuine, caring and kind”, Mrs Kendall said: “There are probably a handful of people that you would meet like Tracey in one lifetime.

“You couldn’t fault her for anything.”

Mrs Hindley, who lived two doors away from the Grinhaff family since they moved in more than 18 years ago, said: “It’s just devastating. Everybody’s talking about it. Everybody’s in a state of shock.

“It’s just one of those things that you would never expect.” Other neighbours called them a “perfect, little family” with “two lovely girls”. “Tracey and Gary were just wonderful parents,” one woman said. “You couldn’t wish for any better.” Post mortems carried out yesterday confirmed that Mrs Grinhaff died from head injuries and Mr Grinhaff from self inflicted injuries. In a statement today, South Yorkshire Police said they were not looking for anyone else in connection with the deaths.

Lindsay Lohans recreation of Monroe's infamous photo shoot, taken 3 weeks prior to her death, were so popular that yesterday (Tues 19th Feb) the New York times website was briefly unavailable.

Bert Stern took the photos at the Hotel Bel Air in 1962 with Monroe were little more than eyeliner and diamonds.

Film to criticise Blair as he steps down
Written by Staff Writer

A documentary film arguing that civil liberties have been eroded under the government of Prime Minister Tony Blair will hit cinemas in June, around the time the leader is due to step down after 10 years in power.

"Taking Liberties" does not claim to give a balanced view of the Blair years, and many of the commentators interviewed are well-known critics of the leader whose popularity was severely dented by his decision to back the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq in 2003.
