Neo-Nazi Attacks on the rise throughout Ecuador |

Surprisingly, there are many neo-nazi groups that operate throughout South America. These groups range from white power skinheads to 3rd positionist groups (who use leftist rhetoric to push fascist agendas), as well as ultra right wing youth groups. Nazi Skinheads have been responsible for attacks and even the killings of punks, left wing activists, antifascists, and homosexuals in Argentina, Chile, Brazil, and Ecuador.
The ideologies of these groups vary,though many are self proclaimed "white power groups"
while others claim that the pure race that they promote is of mixed indigenous and Spanish
Celtic ancestry. This report deals with recent attacks in Ecuador.
The anti nazi group "Love and Resistance" will post a more detailed report on Neo Nazism in South America
later this year.
The aggressions perpetrated by far right thugs have grown in number and in their levels of violence. These young people who call themselves Nazis, the skinheads from San Carlos Park, are trying
to intimidate different left wing activists as well as street people, transgender individuals, sex workers, alternative youth subcultures and street kids with the simple pretext of bringing about a ‘social cleansing’.
Their objective is to silence the voices that do not believe in capitalism while provoking confrontations

"Last Night our friend Cora Cadena was attacked by Skinheads (boneheads) while entering Radio la Luna in Quito
where she works on the sunday Jatarishum program. She was hospitalized with serious injuries on her body"
"Friday September 7th of this year in the Guapulo Fiestas two members of the ecologist collective Yura were attacked while two young punks were seriously injured after being attacked by Nazis with baseball bats
and had to be rushed to the hospital" (Radio la Luna)
This attack against Cora Cadena was claimed by a Nazi Skinhead group called the“Independent Skinheads of Ecuador”
