Kirsten Dunst has become the latest celebrity to check into rehab. The Spider-Man actress has joined Eva Mendes at the Cirque Lodge clinic in Utah, where Lindsay Lohan underwent a two-month treatment programme last year.

A source told Star magazine: “She desperately needed help. She seemed to be intoxicated when she checked in because she was acting really erratic. "She was extremely emotional, constantly breaking down in tears. She is not in a good place right now, but thankfully, she’s getting the help she needs.”

Usmagazine.com is reporting that The Associated Press has begun preparing Britney Spears’ obituary.

“We are not wishing it, but if Britney passed away, it’s easily one of the biggest stories in a long time,” AP entertainment editor Jesse Washington tells the magazine.

“I think one would agree that Britney seems at risk right now,” Washington says. “Of course, we would never wish any type of misfortune on anybody and hope that we would never have to use it until 50 years from now ... but if something were to happen, we would have to be prepared.”

Washington also tells Us that the AP has a “pretty extensive obituary operation,” and that staffers are “constantly adding people.”

It’s not uncommon for news organizations to have obituaries prepared for celebrities and other high-profile individuals, but they are generally much older than the 26-year-old Spears.

A four year old video containing Tom Cruise talking about his Scientology beliefs has been leaked onto the internet.

Cruise is shown discussing how he wants to spread the message of Scientology, saying: "You're in the playing field or out of the arena".

In the edited video, which features the Mission Impossible theme, he says a Scientologist driving past an accident is "the only one who can really help".

A Scientology spokeswoman said the full video could be seen in its churches.

What appeared on the internet was a "pirated and edited" version of an acceptance speech Cruise had made in 2004 after receiving a "freedom medal" from the International Association of Scientologists, she said.
