The music group EMI, home to Robbie Williams and Coldplay, faces takeover interest from three U.S. private equity firms, the Financial Times reported on Saturday.

The newspaper said Fortress (FIG.N: Quote, Profile, Research, Cerberus and One Equity are set for a 3 billion pound takeover battle during the next two weeks for control of the world's third-biggest music group.

Browne quits BP as gay affair exposed PDF Print E-mail

Oil major BP said Chief Executive John Browne had resigned with immediate effect after a court lifted an injunction preventing a newspaper group from publishing details about his private life.

"In my 41 years with BP I have kept my private life separate from my business life," Browne said in a statement on Tuesday.

Since then Romania has aligned itself with Europe and the United States and almost totally disengaged from its post-cold war posture that followed Russian policy or a neutral, introverted stance.
