FAQ's about the Subscription

Whom should I contact if I have a question about my subscription?
Use the "Contact Us" form or call Customer Service at 1-800-JOURNAL (568-7625).

When will my delivery begin?
New orders are processed in 3-5 business days. However, if we are investigating for carrier delivery in your area, delivery may begin in 7-10 business days.

What are the delivery times?
Carrier delivery: The carrier delivers from 12:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. Monday through Friday, and 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. Mail delivery: Your paper would arrive along with your regular mail delivery.

What happens if carrier delivery is not available in my area?
The number of areas that receive carrier delivery is constantly being reviewed and updated. However, there may be areas where carrier delivery is not available at this time. In that instance, we will offer you home delivery by mail or we can investigate for delivery at an alternate address.

What should I do if my newspaper does not arrive or is damaged?
Use "Resolve A Delivery Problem" link to report if your newspaper has not arrived by the guaranteed delivery time (Monday through Friday 7 a.m. or Saturday 8 a.m.) for carrier delivery. For replacement delivery that day, please call 1-800-JOURNAL (568-7625) before 10:00a.m. Otherwise, we will apply a credit to your account for the missing issue or notify you of late delivery due to problems in your area that we are aware of. If you receive mail delivery, we'll credit your account or send a back copy.

If I go on vacation and wish to temporarily suspend delivery, will my account be credited?
If you notify us in advance, we will suspend delivery, and your account will be credited for the time you are away. Visit our "Suspend/Resume Delivery" link to stop delivery. The lead-time to suspend delivery is two business days from the date you make the request. If you prefer, you can donate your vacation copies to students through our Newspaper-In-Education program. You will be billed as usual for the period. To donate your vacation copies, visit the "Suspend/Resume Delivery" link and choose the option.

How do I use the Article Archive Search feature?
The Article Archive Search feature uses a keyword search. Use the help link under the Article Archive Search text box if you are not familiar with keyword searches. Do NOT use headlines, column headings or writer's names as keywords.
Search results are provided by Online Journal. Not all print edition articles appear in Online Journal. Articles may appear in the Online Journal on different dates than they may have appeared in the print edition. Headlines are also not exactly as in the print edition.

How do I cancel my subscription?
We accept cancellation requests by phone and US mail. To cancel your account by phone, please call 1-800-568-7625. Our hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 7am – 10pm Eastern Standard Time.
